Instructions for the Application for Ordination

Please read these instructions CAREFULLY.  Failure to follow these instructions could make the Application incomplete and remove it from consideration.

1.  This Application is long.  Please take your time and supply clear and complete answers Single-sentence answers to most of the questions on this Application for Ordination are unacceptable and will cause the Application to be incomplete and unusable.  The failure to completely answer questions, or the answers "No Comment" or "N/A" to most questions on this application will automatically make the application incomplete, void and unacceptable.  In other words, as an example, if we ask for your Statement of Faith and you enter "I believe in God", then that is an incomplete answer.   We want to know what you believe, and we want to know why you want to be included in our program.  Incomplete Applications will not be processed and may be deleted and removed from consideration without action or notice.

2.  This Application must be completed in English.

3.  Any false statements will be justifiable cause for Application denial.

4.  Do NOT fill out this application in ALL CAPS or all lower-case letters.  Correct spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation are appreciated.  You are applying to be a part of an academic as well as a religious program, and your use of spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation on your Application may give us an indication of your academic ability. In addition, using ALL CAPS makes the Application information difficult to read, difficult to proofread, and ALL CAPS indicates SHOUTING in Internet etiquette and is considered impolite and rude.

5. When asked for your name, enter your name ONLY.  Unless your first name is actually "Doctor", "Reverend", "Pastor", "Prophetess", or "Pope", it has no place in the Name line of this application.

6.  All applicants must attest that they are in agreement with every Article in our Statement of Doctrine. Attesting to agreement with this statement, then making statements on this application that are in direct contravention to that document, will be perceived as making a false statement on this Application.

7.  Above all else, please give us the truth ... not just what you think we want to hear.

And In Case You Didn't Know ...

Regardless of what you may have read elsewhere, not all Municipalities, States, or Countries accept online ordination as a legal avenue for performing certain ministerial functions like solemnizing marriages.  It is up to you, the applicant, to check your local laws to determine whether or not our services meet your needs.  This Ministry will not be responsible for being in automatic compliance with all jurisdictional laws, especially in countries other than the United States.

In addition, reports have reached us concerning ministers that have experienced threats of disfellowship or excommunication from their home church or denomination, just for holding an online ordination. Star Vision Ministries will not be responsible for the actions of your home church as to how they react to your taking a non-seminarian path to ordination.  This is ultimately your responsibility.
